This activated carbon filter cartridge is suitable for HQ-Airclean filter boxes with a length of 600 mm.
This activated carbon filter has been developed for deodorisation and control of organic gases, substances and etc. arising from wood smoke, hydrocarbon solvents, VOC, chlorine and ozone.
How does activated carbon work?
Activated carbon is like a sponge with holes of different sizes. Depending on the size of the odours to be captured, a type of activated carbon is selected with the right amount of pores for capturing odours. The HQ 600 filter is filled with this.
The carbon filter is equipped with a replaceable dust filter cover. The dust filter captures larger dust particles, resulting in a longer filter life. We recommend replacing the dust filter cover every 3 months as the activated carbon is very sensitive to dust. Without using a pre-filter cover, the carbon filter would become clogged, reducing its lifespan.
